Job Description
The runner is an essential position linking the kitchen to the servers and wait-staff. Runners augment operations and assist the servers and wait-staff to deliver food to the stations. Runners provide an additional line of quality control upon pick-up of the food, as they are the last ones to have a look at the food before it is served to the guests. It is important that runners know what the dishes are supposed to look like and the correct order in which they are to be served.
Duties

Deliver food to stations/tables

Check food for accuracy

Transport trays of soiled dishes to stewarding

Take additional orders when required

Clean tables and work areas
