Job Description

 

A saucier is responsible for preparing gravy and soup that is to be served for the day. A wide knowledge in spices and herbs to create sauces that is unique and distinct to the restaurant. 

 

Duties

 

  • Maintain proper sanitation practices

  • Ensure all items on the check lists are met during opening and closing

  • Ensure all ingredients required are well-stocked

  • Ensure all required equipment and utensils required are prepared before service starts 

  • Bring the bill to customers/hosts (if known) or put it in the middle of emptied table (other than glass ware)

 

Expectations

 

  • Knowledge in area of expertise

  • Strong sense of scent and taste

  • Maintain a clean and organized at work station at all times

  • Adhere to hygiene requirements

  • Able to work independently and in teams
